The Association is a non-profit institution, with the purpose of promoting, within the Portuguese speaking countries, the resolution, through mediation or arbitration, of cross-border disputes arising between:
• Parties belonging to any of the Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions;
• Parts belonging and parties not belonging to any of the Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions.
The Portuguese-speaking space covers all jurisdictions that have the Portuguese language as their own or one of their official languages, abbreviated as “lusophone jurisdictions”
